The possible victory of the far right in the legislative elections on 30 June and 7 July in France represents a very serious danger. At this historic moment, and following the example of many French associations and NGOs, Cartooning for Peace (a French association recognised as being in the public interest) is calling on people to vote against xenophobia, racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination advocated by the far right. It’s a question of defending democracy, the universality of our fundamental rights and freedoms, and the humanist values of peace that Cartooning for Peace has defended day after day since its creation. Voting means keeping democracy alive and defending all these principles that we uphold and which are so threatened today, in every corner of the planet.
To encourage people to vote and mobilise against the far right, we invite you to download and spread these cartoons, and to share this editorial on your social networks.
