Call for the immediate release of Egyptian cartoonist Ashraf Omar, who has been arbitrarily detained for two years
22 July 2026 marks two years since the unlawful pre-trial detention of Egyptian cartoonist Ashraf Omar, a contributor to the independent media outlet Al Manassa. On this occasion, our organisations, which have rallied in support, reiterate their call for his immediate release.
