PIÉRICK

France

Born in 1971 in the Lot region, Piérick has lived in Toulouse for 30 years. A musician, he made a living for 20 years with his band Les Malpolis, whose humorous lyrics were often inspired by satirical publications such as Charlie Hebdo. He later took up press cartooning, and was published for the first time in Fakir in 2009. The attacks of 2015 prompted him to devote himself solely to this activity, and he began publishing his cartoons in Hexagone, Psikopat and Mazette!, while continuing to work for Fakir and Hexagone. Thanks to social media and crowdfunding, he self-publishes one collection per year. He regularly runs cartooning workshops in schools.
