JAK

Jak Umbdenstock, known as Jak, is an artist from Strasbourg who graduated from ESA St-Luc in Brussels in 2008, specialising in comic books. He is sometimes a press cartoonist, sometimes an illustrator, and even a street artist. Jak’s work is multifaceted, combining candour and provocation. A member of the Strasbourg collective ‘Colours Urban Art’, when he devotes himself to urban art, Jak likes to have fun borrowing and ironically reinterpreting characters from pop culture. His press cartoons have been published weekly in Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace since 2023.
