Publication: La bascule du monde – Perspectives from photographers and press cartoonists

Photojournalism and press cartoons are unique languages, whose dialogue offers visual echoes and converging perspectives. This graphic osmosis reveals the universality and complementarity of these two forms of image journalism, which have been weakened by fake news, artificial intelligence and the many threats to press freedom.

Co-edited by Cartooning for Peace and Emmanuelle Hascoët, exhibition curator, and supported by Amnesty International, which wrote the afterword, this book presents some sixty pairs of photographs and press cartoons, accompanied by a text by Pierre Haski, geopolitical specialist and president of Reporters Without Borders, and a joint interview with Kak, press cartoonist and president of Cartooning for Peace, and Guillaume Herbaut, award-winning photojournalist.
