From 3 to 5 June, the French Institute of Romania, in partnership with several major European, Romanian and French institutions, is organising the ‘Facing War – European Dialogues’ event in Bucharest – an essential space for reflection and exchange to better understand the security, social and geopolitical challenges facing Europe today.
Around twenty events are scheduled for 3, 4 and 5 June at the Institut français de Roumanie, Rezidenta9 and Londohome. The richly structured programme will include round tables, debates and interactive workshops, bringing together leading figures from France, Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Côte d’Ivoire and Romania.
As part of this event, Cartooning for Peace is presenting a digital exhibition entitled ‘Facing War…’. Comprising some forty press cartoons, the exhibition will be projected continuously during the event to offer a pluralist and contemporary view of war, seen from Europe and elsewhere.
Admission to the event is free, upon registration.
