Osman Obaid started cartooning at university, where he studied economics and rural development, to raise the issues and problems of students. He became a professional cartoonist in 2008 and has worked for a number of newspapers and websites. He has taken part in international exhibitions and won numerous awards. His favourite subjects are politics and local and international news. He has supervised a weekly page of satirical writing and press cartoons. He now works as a freelance cartoonist.
