Tom Scott is considered one of the greatest press cartoonists in New Zealand since the 1970s. He has worked at the New Zealand Listener Magazine, the Evening Post and its successor the Dominion Post. His critique of the politics of his country led him to be banned from the local press over a long period. He has received been named cartoonist of the year in New Zealand and three times the political columnist of the year.
