Marc De Cloedt, alias Marec, was born in Bruges, Belgium, in 1956.
Since 1993, he works for Het Volknewspaper and the weekly Dag Allemaal. In 1998, he joined Het Nieuwsblad as a cartoonist.
In 2015, he won the Press Cartoon Belgium. Marec’s cartoons are exhibited in Belgium and abroad and his books are published by Van Halewyck since 2000.
In 2014, Marec created the editorial cartoonists collective “The Cartoonist”.
