On 7 January 2015<\/strong> in Paris, a terrorist attack plunged France into mourning, and with it the whole world: twelve people, including eight members of the Charlie Hebdo editorial team, among them the talented cartoonists Cabu, Charb, Honor\u00e9, Tignous and Wolinski, were shot dead in cold blood by two young Islamic terrorists.<\/p>\n

It is impossible to forget those frightening hours and days, which were also marked by the murder of a policewoman in Montrouge on 8 January and the hostage-taking at the Hyper Casher shop in Paris, which left four people dead on 9 January.<\/p>\n

But they didn’t kill Charlie! Ten years on, the newspaper Charlie Hebdo has courageously stood up to barbarism and is still giving its readers a weekly rendez-vous at the newsstands. Obscurantism and terrorism have not killed their freedom. Freedom to draw, to think and to laugh. Against all odds. In a fierce battle between pencils that kill no one and Kalashnikovs that shed blood.<\/p>\n
