Plantu, founder of Cartooning for Peace, hands over to the French cartoonist Kak, after having created and chaired the Cartooning for Peace association for 13 years. He becomes honorary president of the association.<\/p>\n
On October 14, the Board of Cartooning for Peace has renewed its office by electing Kak (President), Pierre Flament (Treasurer) and Laure Pourageaud (Secretary).\u00a0Plantu becomes honorary president of the association. Finally, three new cartoonists joined the council: Myka\u00efa (France), Lars Refn (Denmark) and Willis from Tunis (Tunisia).<\/p>\n
Kak<\/strong>:<\/p>\n For 20 years, Kak led a double life. During the day, he worked for the French and European cinema (Unifrance, Film France, European Promotion, EUFCN\u2026), and then, at night, he caricatured clandestinely the latest news of his sector in the weekly magazine Le Film fran\u00e7ais under the alias of Kak, like a more relaxed Batman.<\/p>\n In early 2014, he became a full time cartoonist by joining the redaction of the daily newspaper L\u2019Opinion, in order to illustrate current affairs. Now he has to have fun every day, like the Joker, but less scary.
