Jenin, Tubas, Ramallah, Beet Sira, Jerusalem, Tulkarem, Hebron
September - October 2018

As part of the program “Cartooning for Peace and Democracy” supported by the European Union, Cartooning for Peace works in collaboration with the Tamer Institute for Community education to give the opportunity to young Palestinians to discover the work of press cartoonists and to debate around various societal themes of their concern. By using press cartoons, the initiative seeks to forge critical minds, civic participation and sensitize them to human rights issues and freedom of expression.

Following the training of cartoonists, librarians and teachers on last August 2018, the pedagogical exhibition specially designed for the occasion, has already stopped in seven cities of the West Bank: Jenin, Tubas, Ramallah, Beet Sira, Jérusalem, Tulkarem and Hebron. Since the end of September, eight workshops are organized and animated alternately by three Palestinian cartoonists Khalil Abu Arafeh (Khalil), Mohammad Sabaaneh and Osama Nazzal.
