As part of the “Cartooning for Peace and Democracy” Programme supported by the European Commission, Cartooning for Peace, in partnership with Médias et Cultures association, the French Institute of Morocco and the UNESCO are offering young Moroccans the opportunity to discover the work of a press cartoonist and to debate around social issues of their concern. An approach that aims to promote critical thinking, citizen engagement and raise awareness of human rights and freedom of expression via the press cartoons.

On 25 July, two groups of young people from the holiday camp organised by the Chouala association for Education and Culture A.C.E.C had the opportunity to debate social issues and discover the work of a press cartoonist during workshops co-hosted by Médias et Cultures and the cartoonist ALI GHAMIR.
