Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, placed this day under the banner of the right to peace, 70 years after the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: “It is time for all nations and people to respect the commitments of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognizes the inherent dignity and equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family. This year marks the 70th anniversary of this major document.”
So let us act for peace and commit ourselves to the many civic initiatives to become their architects!
