Every four years, the football planet waits for the World Cup to vibrate during one month. This Thursday 14th June, the 21st edition started in Moscow, Russia hosting the 32 teams that will compete for first place in the most important football competition.
The geopolitical stakes of this sport are undeniable, especially when one recalls the “diplomatic comings and goings” deployed in 2010 by Vladimir Putin to obtain the organization of the World Cup in his country. Everything has been planned to ensure that nothing disrupts the tournament (banning demonstrations and placing Russian hooligans under guardianship) and Russia’s image.
Although the various football scandals in recent years have not been forgotten, this will not prevent the 3.5 billion television viewers and one million supporters expected in the stadiums from celebrating the exploits of their favorite players! So sit on your couch until July 15, the day of the final
